We celebrate 50 years anniversary
This year marks the 50th anniversary for aquatech supplier GroAqua (formerly JT electric). More than 400 guests attended the public reception last week at the company’s headquarters in the Faroe Islands.
We started as a small supplier of electrical installations in 1972, and have since grown to become a large and established supplier of advanced tech-solutions for the aquaculture industry around the North Atlantic.
– Our experienced team has for decades developed many of the tools and systems used by fish farmers in exposed environments, says Suni Justinussen, CEO. We look forward to the next 50 years, striving to be the leading provider of sustainable fish feeding solutions.
The company recently built and delivered the first feeding barge in a new series for exposed sites – a milestone in its strategy to design and build new, remotely operated structures for the international market. In addition, the company has also developed a fully automated feeding system with underwater cameras, sensors, lights and cables.
