GroCable
The GroCable is a wear-proof marine cable used by fish farmers around the world. It is used to supply electrical power to and between farming cages, underwater lights, and other sea-based installations.
Qualities
The renowned blue cable is produced from high-quality materials and is designed for use in extreme weather conditions. It has a virtually unlimited life expectancy when in an undisturbed installation. Should the cable require replacement, it is normally due to physical damage rather than wear. GroCable does not require a conduit or tube; it can be installed directly into the sea.
Halogen-free cables offer several advantages over traditional cables. They do not emit toxic gases or smoke when burned, making them safer for use in enclosed spaces. They are also more environmentally friendly, as they do not release harmful chemicals into the atmosphere. In addition, halogen-free cables are often more flexible and easier to work with than traditional cables, making them a popular choice in many industries.
The GroCable is built to last in tough marine environments. Its highly wear-proof PU (Polyurethane) outer sheath protects the copper conductors from wear and tear. The core covering is made from extruded polyolefin compound, which gives the cable high flexibility. The conductors consist of stranded, flexible copper. These features combine to create a durable and damage-resistant cable.
The GroCable’s polyurethane outer sheath provides superior resistance against fuels, oil, grease, and other compounds present in marine environments. This feature makes it a top choice for aquaculture industries since its durable construction ensures that it can withstand exposure to these compounds without degrading or becoming damaged.
The GroCable is designed to withstand the harsh marine environment, including exposure to UV rays, ozone, humidity and water. The cable’s high-quality materials and construction ensure that it can resist degradation and damage caused by these environmental factors. This makes the GroCable a reliable and long-lasting option for fish farmers and other industries operating in marine environments.

Designed for extreme weather conditions
We believe that simple and durable technology is key to efficient and profitable fish farming. And this clearly resonates with our ever-growing client base that includes fish farmers in the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Norway, Canada, and other countries around the world.
The GroCable is used in some of the most exposed offshore fish farms in the North Atlantic. They provide a stable power supply in the most extreme weather conditions, as they are some of the most durable and promising marine cables on the market today.
