Work in Progress at the Yard

One of our teams is extending an existing feed barge for a salmon farming customer.

The feed barge is being lengthened with a new hull section. The extra length adds deck space, buoyancy, and room for more feed. New silos and feeding lines go in on the extended deck.

When it is back in the water it will run a bigger site than before:

– 8 new feeding lines, for 16 in total
– Feed capacity doubled, from 300 to 600 tonnes
– GroFeeder and GroVision onboard

The barge already earned its keep. Instead of replacing it, we are rebuilding it for a larger operation. Lower cost than a new build, and a barge sized for the site it returns to.

Back in the water in the fall of 2026.
